When I come across an easier way to do something, I get really excited. I love technology, and when I can use it with my sewing, so much the better. Up until now, I always traced my embroidery patterns onto the fabric using a light box. This is a fine way to do it. When I learned how to print out the pattern on Printable Dissolving Embroidery Stabilizer, I gave it a try.
So, obviously I printed out the pattern.
The I trimmed it down to the rectangle, peeled and placed it on my fabric.
I chose some different colors this time. Instead of black I chose a blue floss for the words, clothesline and mittens.
I was a little nervous about applying the mittens on top of the stabilizer, but after reading the packaging I found that heat doesn’t affect it. I gave it a try and it was true, nothing happened. Just to be safe though I used a pressing cloth.
Just for fun and to share the experience, I made a little video for y’all to watch. Now that I have given it a try, I am ready to do it again on other projects. Now go give it a try, that’s what all good sewing ninjas do.
